Hello, I’m Elly, the owner of Botanical Vintage. With the launch of the new website, I decided that it was the perfect time to get this whole blog thing started. So, welcome to the first (and quite brief) blog post!
Who we are and future blog posts
I just wanted to initially introduce myself really and give you a little information of what Botanical Vintage is all about. I have been trading in vintage for over 12 years. What started as a hobby has become a real passion and I’m pretty hooked! I love to comb car boot sales, antique shops and auction houses. Inspiration is everywhere. I scribble things down wherever I am, I save pins, take photos, cut up magazines, screenshot things, collect trinkets, material and up-cycle.
Botanical Vintage is drawn to things that are a little different and has a bohemian, nature loving vibe. My hope is that this blog will provide some inspiration for vintage lovers and creative couples who are planning a wedding with a little bohemian spirit. We will feature styled shoots, look-book previews, Pinterest faves, discuss vintage and sustainable fashion, share lots of styling ideas, look at ethical and nature friendly weddings, plus much more!
2019 has been an incredibly busy year for me so far and will continue to be so for the foreseeable few months ahead. With this in mind, I will be taking bookings for hire with a delivery and styling service for 2020 when a lot of other plans and commitments are out of the way (some of these plans are really nice and exciting so I’m not moaning).
In the meantime, collection from our courtyard office in Ryde for hire items is available, so please do get in touch if you wish to hire anything and you are able to make a collection from us. We also have some wonderful vintage bridal, occasion wear and wedding gifts for sale in the Etsy shop. A link to the shop can be found here on the website under the “Shop” tab. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking the time to carefully source and select some beautiful, high quality, one-off pieces. I’m sure you’ll love them too!
If there is anything you would like us to cover or look into for future blog posts, please let us know in the comments below and we’ll be happy to do so.
Find us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with news and updates.
Until next time
